LIVING AND LEARNING Project

In 1971 while our ancestors were organizing to take over Blue Quills, our relatives were also working with the Indian Association of Alberta on a plan for the Alberta Indian Education Centre with Douglas Cardinal as architect creating the master plan and concept drawings.

Although funding was approved for the project, it was diverted by the government to other projects. Now, almost 40 years later, the descendents of those leaders are working with Douglas Cardinal again to realize that dream as a new campus for Blue Quills, reflecting the visions and teachings of those ancestors.

This link will take you to Douglas Cardinal's website where you will soon see more details of the project.
