The Information Technology Certificate Program offered by Blue Quills First Nations College is intended to provide students with a foundation of basic applications, computer trouble-shooting and network skills.
Students completing this program will be better prepared to pursue more advanced training in the field of information technology.
Completion of this program will make the graduate more attractive to potential employers looking for affordable entry-level resource people.
For students that have successfully completed the full first year program we can offer an opportunity to participate in an unpaid 2nd Year Extended Work Experience/Practicum.
The students spend the year in a mentorship based environment assisting with the normal day-to-day operations at the institution. The experience includes user support, hardware repair & maintenance, network support and some applied applications. This REAL work experience provides the students with an opportunity to further develop and strengthen the skills they learned in the first year program
