As chairman of the Board of Governors, I extend a warm welcome to all the students. You are attending a college with a proud history. As you all know, many of its graduates are presently in your communities working as productive members of society.
By attending this college you are indeed “walking the talk”. You are sending an empowering message to your children, extended family members, and your community. The message is, “You’re never too old to return to school”. I commend you for your courage in returning to school after such a long absence and I know in my heart, that your family is eagerly anticipating the day you proudly walk up to the stage to accept your credentials.
May the Creator bless you and guide you in your journey ahead.
Charles Wood, Chairman
